DRX9000C™ Cervical Attachment

The DRX9000C™ Cervical Attachment (when attached to the DRX9000™ Lumbar Device) provides a program of treatments for relief from pain for those patients suffering with low back and neck pain. Each treatment consists of a physician prescribed treatment period on the DRX9000C™ Cervical Attachment (when attached to the DRX9000™ Lumbar Device) and is designed to provide static, intermittent, and cycling distraction force to relieve pressures on structures that may be causing low back and neck pain. Conditions that may be treated include low back and neck pain associated with herniated discs, protruding discs, degenerative disc disease, posterior facet syndrome, and sciatica. The DRX9000C™ Cervical Attachment (when attached to the DRX9000™ Lumbar Device) achieves these effects through decompression of intervertebral discs, that is, unloading due to distraction and positioning.

DRX9000C™ Cervical Attachment Treatment Protocol*

The patient protocol provides for eighteen treatments of cervical spinal decompression over a six-week course of therapy. Each session consists of approximately a 30 minute treatment on the DRX9000C™. The treatment may be followed with ice and interferential frequency therapy. The patient regimen includes visits three times per week for a six-week duration.

According to patient condition, during the initial two weeks of treatment, the patients may be instructed to limit activities, as much as possible, and are placed on light duty at work. After the second week of treatment, beginning activity is permitted. Patients who have improved by 50% during the fourth week of treatment are instructed on various cervical stretching exercises to be performed in conjunction with treatment.

* Refer to Operator's Manual for complete protocol and operating information before rendering treatments to any patients. In addition, all owners of Axiom Devices should be trained in the use of their device and its protocol by Axiom Worldwide before the treatment of any patients.
